My Story

I never expected to be where I am today. I never thought I would learn so much about becoming attuned with the smaller details in life, and bringing to them their own sense of grandiosity. Entering university changed my entire outlook on life and what I wanted to make of mine specifically. You meet so many new people and learn such a variety of skills that it becomes difficult to pinpoint what your expertise will be. Choosing to study in Hamilton at McMaster University and attain a double major in Honours English & Cultural Studies and Multimedia opened my eyes to the creative world around me. During my undergraduate career, I engaged with the visual, digital, and analytical aspects of media, and now, I have come into my own and created my freelance brand. A mix between English and media allows me to tell stories, both visually and through writing. Combining the two forms of expression—designing and writing— pushes me to always look for new ways to create. I enjoy working on playful and quirky pieces, as well as minimalist works. I am open to tackling any project one throws at me and I look forward to continuing on my creative journey—photography and designs by alex.
