This photo series was an impromptu find in a forest in Guelph. The creative nature of the doors—hand-painted and crafted by the community members of Guelph—created a whimsical vibe that flowed throughout the forest. I was captivated by the uniqueness of the doors, but it also felt strange to shoot them because they created a feeling of invading one’s privacy and home. The doors brought the forest to life and have inspired me to pursue more series such as this one in the future.
